Boxer Jack Johnson is widely known for his boxing career. There have been books written and documentaries made about Jack Johnson’s boxing feats. However, Jack Johnson was also and inventor. In April 1922, Jack Johnson received a patent for his invention, the “Johnson Wrench.” His invention fuctioned as a tightener for loosened fastening devices. Tweet

Black History Fact Of The Day

Biologist, Rick Kittles, did pioneering work in tracing the ancestry of African Americans via DNA testing. He also worked with the New York African Burial Ground Project as a researcher. Dr. Kittles gathered DNA samples from the remains to determine where in Africa the individuals buried in the graveyard came from. Tweet
