Attorney Chokwe Lumumba founded the Black United Front to advocate for African-American studies programs in higher-learning institutions in the Midwest. He was also a co-founder of the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America. In 2013, Chokwe Lumumba became the mayor of Jackson, Mississippi. Tweet
