In 1983, Dr. Guy Bluford Jr. became the first African-American to fly into outer space. Dr. Bluford has a bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degree in aerospace engineering. He also has a master’s degree in business administration, in addition to earning over a dozen honorary doctorate degrees.
